The basic questions to ask your implantologist:
QUALIFICATIONS
1) Where is the doctor qualified from
2) What is the basic graduation in dentistry
3) What are the postgraduate qualification
EXPERIENCE
4) How many years of experience he has in general dentistry
5) How many years of experience he has in implant dentistry
6) Has he placed at least a thousand implant by this time
7) Where are centres he worked in a senior specialist level
8) Who are all his mentors?
LICENCES
1) Which all dental council is the doctor registered
Dental Council is supreme judicial authority of any country which after scrutinizing the qualifications gives the permission to work as a dentist in that country
Dr Thomas was registered with:
Dental Council of UK
Dental Council of Ireland
Dental Council of India
Dental Council of Sultanate of Oman
Currently he is registered with Dental Council of India
2) Is he in good standing with all the registrations?
Dr Thomas has good standing certificate obtained from all these dental councils.
The basic questions to ask about the Clinic
1) How long is the clinic established?
Scientific Dental Clinic is established in 2000. After 13 years of overseas experience Dr Thomas set up this clinic with the intention of specializing in complex dental implant treatment. The space in which the clinic is set up is owned by the company and when compared to many clinics which are running in rented space.
2) Is the clinic a proprietorship, partnership or a PVT LTD Company?
“Scientific dental clinic” is a private limited company registered under the companies etc. The companies name is “SCIENTIFIC HEALTHCARE PRIVATE LIMITED”
Dr Thomas is the clinical and managing Director of the company. Most of the dental clinics are proprietorships and small enterprises where as the accountability of a private limited company is much superior.

5) Is the implantlogist visiting from other clinics
6) What is the daily no of patients seen every day
7) How many implants are done per month
8) How many systems are used
9) How long is the implant assistant working with him
10) Is the clinic has its own dental laboratory
11) Do they send their implant prosthetic work to distant lab

2) Will the contact details be provided so you can talk to them
3) Can the contact details of centres he worked be provided
4) Can we talk to a patient who was successfully implant treated 5 years ago
